I will sum up:
Most people who responded both to this poll and to the thread in the link above try not to shop at WM, if they do at all. They do this for several main reasons:
1. Labor practices--paying employees not much and
2. WM's questionable practice of driving down prices by pressuring suppliers
3. Taking over land in spite of people's protests that they don't want one
4. "Just too big/gross/dirty"
I need to keep thinking about this, but in the meantime I'm going to err on the side of caution and shop at the stores that are given good ratings at www.buyblue.org (thanks, Songbird!).
